For Thanksgiving break our family took a trip to Mexico. We got a nice house in a city called Baja CA. When we arrived at the boarders of Mexico we drove through security cameras and a Spanish guy talked to dad and inspected our car. There was also a sign mom took a picture of welcoming us into Mexico.

It was cool hearing daddy talk to him in Spanish. We noticed a big change after we crossed. Everything was in Spanish, all the signs, pretty much everything was in Spanish. Also the houses were poorly made and not very nice, except the nice ones like the one we stayed in which there weren't very many of those. The last 20 min. of the long 6 hr. drive weren't so good especially for my parents. James was screaming, Elle and Cal were fighting, and mom and dad were stressed out trying to find the Spanish streets to follow. The families at the house that were waiting for us told us we drove past the house a bunch of times. Once we finally arrived at the house we walked out of the warm car and found it was FREEZING COLD out there. Once we came inside it was warm and the kids we were meeting showed us around. Then the adults made us dinner. That night the Marsh's made dinner. It was spaghetti and garlic bread. It was delicious. Then most of of the kids finished eating and went to the game room while I stayed upstairs and studied Spanish. I also talked to the parents too. Then the Thomas family called us in for the devotional.

It was about names and how our actions represent our names. Brother Thomas had some good questions for us. He also gave us a white rock and asked us how it was like Jesus. It was an amazing devotional. After that it was playtime. We played this REALLY FUN GAME until 10:00. Altho my team didn't win it might of been my favorite game I have ever played. Finally we went to bed. When we woke up in the morning mama made breakfast- pancakes. They were too good. Then we sang Happy Birthday to Weston. After, we had our Baja crossfit exercise class with our birthday boy.
Then after we did the stretches we took a run down the beach.
It was fun!
Then we ran back and played games down at the game room. Once we got board we got in our swimsuits on and walked down to the beach. Dad, the other men, and the older kids went deep into the water while the younger kids, me, Elle, Calvin, and James (pretty much all the kids in the Jenkins family) stayed on the sand with Catherine, Angie, Marbel, and my mom. While the moms visited the younger kids played in the sand and I even found a sand dollar while doing so.
A while later we walked back and had lunch. It was the Paynes turn for lunch and they made paninis. Then we walked back and Elle and I collected a bunch of little sea anemone things. By the time we were done playing it was dinner and we went to this restaurant full of good food. One of the moms brought activities too. It was a fun night.
What a nice family picture with the sunset and everything!!
While the adults were visiting us kids found a nice chatting spot down the stairs!!

Then the adults called us up for a Spanish Birthday song for Weston. In the front of the restaurant people were selling things and dad bought Elle and I each pretty bracelets. Then we walked home and had a devotional with the Marshes. They did a thanksgiving devotional. It was really fun! Then we finally went to bed. It had been a great day!!
Friday was awesome!! We did so many fun things! We basically spent the whole day down at the beach. Sense it was the last full day in Mexico every minute was precious. We had a delicious breakfast and some intense games of pool! Then we headed down to the beach. There was lots of fun down at the beach!! I found another sand dollar followed by another! Calvin and the boys had fun sword fights and much more. The adults went deep into the water and apparently there was a sting ray roaming around in the water and Weston got stung! It looked horrible. We also played some volleyball!!! By the time we came back it was dusk and there was a beautiful sunset! When we got back the Paynes gave a beautiful fireside, it was kind of scary too. He put up mouse traps and had me put a blindfold around my head and one person guided me through the traps and he kept telling me to jump but I was too scared. Then I finally got across after I got over my fear (which took a while) and took off the blind fold and saw I was double tricked. When he kept telling me to jump three was really nothing there second the traps weren't even set!!!! It was still a great fireside though. Then we played some fun games and got to bed!
When we woke up we packed up our car and on our way to the crossing boarders we stopped to get some food and souvenirs and the headed to the boarders. It took 4 hrs. to finally got across the boarders to U.S.A and it was about 12:00 when we got home. This was an AMAZING trip I will ALWAYS remember!!!!
