On our way to Yosemite
Finally after 6 hours of driving we arrived! Right in front of our cabin was the worlds best zip line!
Dad made the zip line even more fun by making it even faster and scarier!
We all loved the log obstacle course because there was actually a consequence if you fall! It was so muddy below us that if we fell our shoes and feet would be all wet and muddy! Luckily I didn't slip!
We played hard for a strait hour till we walked to dinner!
Walking to dinner!
After a nutritious dinner we roasted s'mores! They were delicious!
The next morning we didn't waste any time and got headed to Yosemite Valley for some awesome hikes!
Once we arrived we took about 75 pictures because of the beauty!
Our first hike was Bridelville falls!
On our way to our next hike we stopped to take a picture of the back of Half Dome! It make me dizzy just looking at it!
Our next hike was to Vernal Falls, most well known as the mist trail! The first 3/4s of the hike it was okay and I didn't know why it was called the mist trail? Then, once we got near the waterfall we realized why! It was so wet and slippery, not to mention the hight we were at! We didn't get any pictures of the hard part mainly because we were so focused on not dying! At one point I felt like I was going to die because of how cold, wet, slippery, high, and how steep the hike was! Just letting you know now that the hike was not as easy as it looks in the pictures! We probably couldn't have taken out our phones to take pictures because we were convinced it was pouring rain even thought it was just the mist.
The beauty was the best part of the hike
This was the only picture we had from at least the top half of the hike. The top of the hike was a lot drier and less misty so it was safe to take our phone out! We just hoped we wouldn't drop it off the edge!
Once we got home we had some dinner and did some hot tubbing!
The next day we did a hike to Hetch Hetchy dam!
It was a great, chill hike!
When we got home we did some more zip-lining! Even James was brave enough to get on!
We even were brave enough to get in the pool!
We love our cozy cabin!
Last day of roasting marshmallows!
Goodbye cabin!
Goodbye zip line!
Goodbye Yosemite!
Before we left we did one last hike to Yosemite falls!
Look at that beautiful Half Dome!
Then we drove to Gram and Papas!
We made some yummy cookies!
Then we had our Passover Dinner!
On Friday Dad, Mom, Gram, and I, took a trip out to San Fransisco to see Hamilton! IT WAS THE
BEST!
I loved everything about the play!
On Saturday we went back into San Fransisco with the whole family and realized it was Jr. Ranger Day! There was so many fun activities! This one was dress up!
There was even a real organ! It was really different though! While I was playing I had to pump these pedal to make the organ sound!
We got to draw on the chalkboard too!
I did a rope timing lesson and learned how to save my life with a rope in the water!
We also made toy boats out of wood!
We even got to decorate them!
The next activity was engravings! I made myself my own San Fransisco souvenir!
Then we painted Indian ink over it to add some texture!
This was what it looked like at the end!
The last activity we did was rope making machine! We got to make our own rope out of little strings!
Then we visited a ship and took a tour in it!
We learned how to measure the water level with a rope and some metal! We dropped a weight in the water and pulled it down till we felt it touch the floor! Then we pulled it up and counted each thasum till we pulled the weight up! 6 feet are in 1 thasum, so when we got 7 thasums there was 42 feet! The water level was 42 feet!
Then we walked around and got sour- dough and clam chowder, and had Ghirardelli ice-cream for dessert!
Then we came home and went hot-tubbing
The next day we woke up and because it was Easter Sunday we made resurrection rolls! The marshmallow represented Jesus wrapped in linen! Then we dipped the marshmallow in butter which represented Jesus being coved with oils! Then we dipped that in cinnamon and sugar mixed to represent Jesus being covered in spices! Then we wrapped that in dough and pinched it tight to represent sealing the tomb! Then, just for the taste, we dipped the dough around the marshmallow in butter and cinnamon sugar! Lastly we put them in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees to represent Jesus in the tomb for 3 days! Once we took them out we let them cool and ate the rolls! Inside the roll it was hollow and the marshmallow was gone representing Jesus being resurrected and the tomb being empty! Not only was the rolls a good lesson and representation, but they were also delicious!
After we had our lesson we did our Easter egg hunt! It was really fun! We got $2.88 in one egg and the rest had yummy candy in it!
Then we drove home and when we got home in 6 hours we found some easter treats at our door!
It was a great trip!
